Feminism on the Outs?

Okay girls. Here's a question. Ready? Who is Gloria Steinem?...Give up? According to Karen Von Hahn of The Globe and Mail newspaper, if you don't know the answer, then you cannot be a true feminist of the modern-day era. As Jessica Valenti, editor of the well-known feminist blog, feministing, remarks in a witty post (with biting undertones): "Pack up your things, ladies; that's proof enough for me!"

What do you think? Is feminism a fad that it is now past its expiration date? Was it once "en vogue" but should now be put on the sale racks along with all of yesterday's trends?
