Anav and Mona experience the difficulties and heartaches that violence brings amidst the Palestinian-Israeli conflict everyday.
Mona, a Palestinian, resides in the Northern Gaza Strip, currently controlled by the militant Hamas. Having studied English Literature at university, she works as a translator. Both her grandfather and younger brother were killed as a result of Israeli violence.
Anav, an Israeli, studies at university and works in Sderot, which suffers under heavy rocket fire from the militant Hamas. She grew up in the United States and returned to the country where he mother was born and raised: Israel. She must now adjust to the dangers of living near the Gaza Strip.
Despite their different backgrounds and the pain suffered at the hands of their warring people, these young women have agreed to exchange letters with each other in an attempt to understand each other's lives and the views of those who terrorize them from across the border.
